Primary Function & Major Responsibilities The RN Clinical Educator will coordinate education activities and functions of HealthEast Home Care, acts as a resource and consultant to HealthEast continuum of care in the development of staff through the competency based orientation and education (CBO/E) process and clinical affiliation programs. To collaborate with Directors and Clinical Managers to plan and implement strategies that assure staff have tools to address patient/family teaching needs. Provides orientation and ongoing staff development for all professional and paraprofessional staff. Provides or coordinates ongoing education and best practices as needed to HealthEast Home Care staff to ensure basic clinical competencies. Provide and coordinate education to the clinician in the coordination of patients care to provide effective and appropriate home care services. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate competency based orientation and education programs for HealthEast Home Care. Perform appropriate clinical activities to ensure basic clinical competencies. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job to ensure appropriate maintenance of all privacy related issues. Performs all other related duties as requested to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications
Education:
Current unrestricted RN Licensure in the State of Minnesota. Current CPR certification. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors degree in Nursing, Education or related healthcare field required.

Experience:
Three years recent experience in healthcare setting, home care experience preferred. Two years in planning and implementing educational programs. Experience as preceptor/clinical educator

Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and other reimbursement sources for homecare; Experience in Outcome Assessment Information Set (OASIS), orientation and education and Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI). Primary Function & Major Responsibilities Position is shared with St John's Hospital Serving as the key leader of the interdependent team, the RN is responsible to achieve patient and unit outcomes. The RN coordinates the care for a group of patients.
